Preston, Minn. -- Alexis Klassen has recently joined the team at Byrne & Company Limited as the Project Coordinator.
As the Project Coordinator, Alexis will primarily work on the writing of business plans and feasibility studies. She will also assist with conference organization, website development, and other office tasks.
Alexis is looking to further develop the company's involvement in the anaerobic digestion of livestock waste industry. She is taking the leading role in the development of this division within the company. This new division will work towards the critical issue of helping livestock farmers look towards the future and invest in solutions for waste management. Biodigestion will increase the sustainability of farms, the ability to meet EPA regulations, and reduce society's often negative perception associated with large livestock operations.
Mrs. Klassen joins Byrne & Company after recently completeing her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She also completed an Agronomy and an Integrated Pest Management for Cropping Systems minor.
While attending college, Alexis was involved in several agriculture related organization and held several agriculture related jobs; including research projects on cereal crops, roses, plant diseases, and soil quality. Originally, from a small hobby farm in central Minnesota, she currently lives on a crop farm in southeast Minnesota with her husband.
